How West Jordan's residential dumpster reservation program works

• Only for residents with an active West Jordan garbage utility account inside city limits. Not for commercial use.
• One reservation at a time. A second can be booked once the first date has passed.
• Dumpsters are 8 feet wide, 25 feet long and 5 feet tall, and can be reserved year-round.
• Property owners can reserve year-round. Tenants can reserve only from April 1 to October 31.
• A reservation is good for about 24 hours.
• Allowed: yard debris, building materials, and household items, furniture and limited appliances included. No hazardous materials or anything with freon.
• Not allowed: lithium-ion batteries, mattresses, box springs, railroad ties, concrete, dirt, rocks, or toxic or flammable materials.
• Also not allowed: refrigerators, tanks, drums, barrels, or serialized vehicles.
• Do not overload the dumpster. The resident cleans up any spillage.
• Only the resident who booked it may use the dumpster.
