What businesses call about

Office furniture, first: desks, chairs, cubicle panels, filing cabinets, conference tables. Retail fixtures and shelving when a store remodels or closes. Booths and back-of-house equipment when a restaurant turns over. Warehouse pallets and packaging, and the cardboard that comes with a storefront cleanout.

Jeremy runs a pickup and trailer, not a roll-off truck, so this is for the loads you'd otherwise need a dumpster pulled for. Hazardous material is out of scope. For business hazardous waste, Salt Lake County's household hazardous waste program asks for an appointment.

Recycled, donated, and a receipt if you need one

Cardboard goes to recycling, not the landfill. Metal shelving and fixtures go to scrap. Office furniture that still works gets donated; Jeremy checks what a donation center will take. The genuinely dead stuff goes to a public landfill. Cardboard, metal, and appliances are the easy recycling wins on a commercial load, and they're also the bulkiest, so most business jobs send less to the landfill than you'd guess.

Overflow and turnovers have their own pages

Overflow is a different page. If the dumpster is full and the corral has a pile beside it, or the shop needs a repeat cardboard pickup, that's commercial trash removal. Same truck and same hours, but that page covers the pile the dumpster contract doesn't.

So are turnovers. A unit a tenant left full is a rental property cleanout. A couch dumped by the enclosure, or a complex that collects a new pile every month, is apartment and rental property trash removal.

Why not just get a dumpster?

Sometimes a dumpster is right. But for a one-time storefront cleanout or a back room of cardboard, it's a week of a steel box in your parking lot, a delivery window, a pickup window, and a bill that doesn't shrink if you fill it halfway. No hourly rate, and the number doesn't change once it's loaded. Jobs start at $100. The only add-ons: mattress or box spring +$40, fridge or freezer +$25, stairs +$25. He tells you before he starts.
